Jason Canales, a Partner in Moses & Singer's Litigation
and White Collar Criminal Defense and Government Investigations practice
groups, has been appointed to serve as a member of the Departmental Disciplinary Committee by the Justices of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, First Judicial Department. The purpose of the Committee is to protect
the public and the legal profession by ensuring that lawyers adhere to the
ethical standards set forth in the Rules of Professional Conduct. The Committee
protects the public by reviewing and investigating complaints against lawyers
and by recommending sanctions against those who are proven to have violated the
Rules. Committee members are selected by the Court based on their
knowledge of the law and their reputation in the legal community for
integrity and fairness.
