NGLCCNY on Panel for Baruch College LGBTHM NPO

On October 16, 2014, the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Society (G.L.A.S.S.) of Baruch College hosted a series of events for LGBT History Month.  The NGLCCNY’s Supplier Diversity Chair, David Ricciardi , was a panelist for one of the events: “Making Strides: The Importance of NPO's in the LGBT Community”.  Other panelists were from notable LGBT organizations including Lambda Legal , Hetrick-Martin Institute , Bailey House , and The Ali Forney Center .   The topic of the panel was how non-profit organizations (NPOs) make a difference in the LGBT community.  The NGLCCNY brought the perspective of how its efforts to service and grow the LGBT businesses positively impacts the community and these other organizations.  “No one can compete with giving a homeless LGBT youth a bed and a place to stay,” said David, “but through our efforts we see to have LGBT businesses employ people, be successful, and connect them to our other NPO partners.  We engage LGBT employees through corporate em

The Tyler Clementi Foundation presents its Upstander Legacy Celebration honoring lyricist and composer Stephen Schwartz and former White House LGBT Liaison Gautam Raghavan on Monday, November 17th, 2014 beginning at 6PM.  MSNBC's Thomas Roberts will emcee an evening of music, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. There will be a special musical performance of 'For Good' from the mega-Broadway hit WICKED featuring members of the  Pennsylvania Girlchoir and the  Keystone State Boychoir with Stephen Schwartz on piano. The Honorary Chair for the evening will be Bruce Cohen.  The host committee includes Paul Boskind, Peter Drake, Steven M. Fisher, Anthony Glomski, Steven W. Guy, Paul Mainardi, Joseph Neese, Christine Quinn, Thomas P.
