The second annual LGBTQ Community Wedding Expo will be held at Brooklyn Borough Hall on Sunday, January 13, from 11am to 6pm.
The market is definitely there: during the first year of same-sex marriage in New York State, more than 7,000 licenses were issued in the City. Many of those happy couples live in Brooklyn, proud home to one of the largest LGBTQ communities in America, including an especially vibrant lesbian population.
When Brooklyn Borough Hall threw open its doors last January for the first major LGBTQ wedding expo, it was a marriage made in heaven as hundreds turned out to meet with vendors hawking all things matrimonial.
Scheduled appearances for this year's expo include Brooklyn’s own Angela “Big Ang” Raiola of the hit VH1 reality series “Mob Wives,” as well as drag divas Peppermint Gummybear and Strolling Tables. Sponsors include NGLCCNY, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, Classic Party Rentals and media sponsors Gay City News and Go!.
