Standard Non-Profit Retreat

The NGLCCNY Non-Profit Industry Council is presenting a special leadership summit designed exclusively for current and past members of the Boards of Directors of LGBT tax-exempt organizations to discuss the future of New York City-based social services, political and community-based corporations. If you, or someone you know, would like to be considered to represent your non-profit organization as a delegate for this special weekend gathering on Saturday, February 4, please contact NGLCCNY co-founder, Thomas Koveleskie, at trk24@cornell.edu . There is a formal application process for nominations, for which current Chamber members will be given preference; however, directors from non-NGLCCNY non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply as well. NGLCC White House Conference Call on Small Business

On Wednesday, the NGLCC will meet with Vice President Joe Biden and a team of senior officials at the White House, joining a select group of community leaders to discuss President Obama’s major economic and small business priorities for 2012 as announced in the State of the Union address. Following a conversation with the Vice President, Justin Nelson will be dialing into a conference call with you, directly from the White House. We are looking for a broad range of appealing topics for any section of our membership - from employees to employers, associations and non-profits to small business owners. We are also looking for a variety of formats including individual presentations, panel discussions, webinars , workshops and use of multimedia and other interesting formats.
