March 2015 M3 Mixer at NY Botanical Gardens

Spring has sprung at the New York Botanical Garden’s Orchid Show, making it the perfect escape from the menacing snow falling on the first day of the much-anticipated new season.

The orchids blossomed overhead Thursday night at the NYBG Chandeliers exhibit, creating an exquisitely picturesque and aromatic atmosphere for this month’s NGLCCNY Members’ Monthly Mixer.

Glenn Reimer is the Events Chair for the NGLCCNY.  He said that having the M3 at the New York Botanical Garden is special.  “It’s an amazing space because you are surrounded by flowers and beauty and color from around the world that you don’t normally see in Manhattan, so it’s well worth the trip,” Reimer stated.  This is the 4th year in a row for the NYBG to hold an M3, making them a legacy host. The NYBG works with the LGBT community events throughout the year.

Sean Franklin is an NGLCCNY member (L7z Group) who has been attending the M3 events for years.  He said that the mixers are excellent ways to network and meet more people within the community. He said attending this particular mixer is a must because of its uniqueness.

Monthly Mixers usually take place on the third Wednesday of every month (except for March and April this year), and are hosted by different NGLCCNY Corporate Partners or Business Members in or around the city.
