Shining Stars, New York’s premier gathering for LGBT and allied corporate executives, business owners and community leaders returns October 25, 2012 with the all-new Shining Stars Awards. The Awards will be given at The Box, the world-famous entertainment venue on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
Chamber members Jack Osborn and Dan McGuire will be the first Shining Stars Awards recipients. Mr. Osborn, founder and chairman of the eponymous certified Silver Business Member law firm will receive the Business Member Award. Dan McGuire, Senior Project Manager at Copper Corporate Partner Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. will receive the Corporate Partner Award. The Awards acknowledge Mr. Osborn and Mr. McGuire for their exceptional leadership and participation in the Chamber community.
An exciting vacation package including two domestic first-class tickets from American Airlines will be given to the lucky winner of an online raffle. Net proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the American Cancer Society, an NGLCCNY Non-Profit Community Partner, in recognition of its programs focused on understanding the effects of cancer on the LGBT community. All are encouraged to participate! (Raffle ticket sales will be launched soon.)
Shining Stars features a special performance by rising star music sensation Gregory Nalbone. Mr. Nalbone’s soulful and seductive cabaret show will provide a festive background to this evening of community and business building.
