Workshop for LGBT Young Entrepreneurs

The NGLCC is excited to announce a business intelligence workshop for members of the Young Entrepreneurs & Professionals Council (YEPC). The workshop will be hosted by NGLCC Certified LGBTBE The Mixx at their Think Lab in New York City  on Wednesday May 16th at 4PM.

This workshop is an important opportunity for tomorrow’s business leaders to collaborate with peers and acquire valuable knowledge from leading LGBT entrepreneurs, free of charge. Those interested in joining the YEPC, which is geared towards business owners in the under 40 demographic, should contact Phil Giorgianni, Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity & Outreach at the NGLCC at

We will be focusing on two topic areas:

Determining the Most Beneficial Events: Robyn Streisand is the CEO and ‘big picture” visionary behind The Mixx, a creative agency encompassing branding & design, digital direct marketing, social media, content syndication & digital PR for Fortune 500 clients. The Mixx is certified by NGLCC & WBENC and is currently the Corporate Development Chair for the NGLCC-NY. Through years of attending industry events, Robyn has learned a thing or two about selecting the right events to maximize benefits.  Robyn will be addressing the YEPC to discuss how investing in a little pre conference planning and research can determine best fit and really leverage event attendance for your company! (First hint is free: attend this workshop!)

Best Practices for Responding to an RFP: During his two decade career, Chuck Santoro has worked with luminaries including Julie Andrews, Arthur Miller, and Gwen Stefani. He has been the creative lead at events for companies including Boeing, T-Mobile,  Nintendo, Novartis and Pfizer. In his current role, Chuck leads creative at the Proscenium Group, an industry leading event marketing agency focused on live and digital programs for consumers, employees, and business audiences. Proscenium was named the newest agency on the Event Marketer It List byEvent Marketer magazine in 2011 and has developed a reputation as a high performing, innovative agency since its inception last year.  Chuck will be joining the YEPC to share insight on a topic relevant to development for all businesses growing to scale; how to respond to an RFP with a proposal that will accentuate your core strengths, impress potential clients, and create new business.
